PoolPump.com is a reader-supported, independent buying-guide and referral site. This page explains, in plain terms, how the site makes money and what that does and doesn’t mean for the guidance you read here.
How we make money
Affiliate commissions. Some links on this site — for example, links to pumps, parts, or accessories on a retailer’s website — are affiliate links. If you click through and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission from the retailer, at no additional cost to you. This is standard practice for independent review and comparison sites and helps fund the research that goes into our guides.
Repair-lead referral fees. When you submit a repair request through our lead-capture form, we pass your information to one or more independent, third-party pool-service professionals who service your area. We may receive a referral fee from that professional for the introduction. We do not perform the repair, employ the technician, set the price you’re quoted, or guarantee the work — the service agreement is between you and the professional you choose to work with.
What this doesn’t change
Affiliate relationships and referral arrangements do not determine which products we cover, how we describe them, or which brands appear in our guides. We aim to give the same guidance whether or not a link is monetized. Prices, specifications, and availability shown on this site are estimates and can change at any time — always confirm current details on the retailer’s site before buying.
What we are not
- We are not a pool equipment dealer, manufacturer, or retailer. We don’t hold inventory or process purchases.
- We are not a pool-service or repair company. We refer repair requests to independent local pros; we’re not a party to any resulting service agreement.
- We don’t guarantee savings, rebate eligibility, or repair outcomes. Utility rebate programs vary by location and change without notice.
